- What if I know NOTHING about the internet?
If you are reading this you know all you need to - we take care of everything else.
- We are not located in Pittsburgh. Can we still use your services?
Yes. We are already dealing with customers all over the USA and Europe.
- What do you need from us to produce our web site?
We will talk with you about your business and internet objectives. Then we will need photos, drawings, your logo, brochures (if you have them), and any other information that you want included. Your letterhead and calling cards are also useful to help us develop the site in your style.
- When and how can we see our site?
You can monitor the progress at a hidden site accessible to you. The final site will not be uploaded until you approve it.
- How does hosting work?
We rent server space from a large hosting service, and manage all aspects of your website and email through a remote console. We can also work with a hosting service of your choice.
- How do we get an estimate?
The cost of a web site depends on the number of pages, frames, images, links, tables and special elements (e.g. animations, sounds, forms, e-commerce, etc.). Once we know what you want to accomplish we can give you an exact price quotation and list all the elements included.
- Are there any hidden costs?
No. Every possible expense is included. You will not receive any bills from anyone else if you choose to bill through us.
- How do I access the e-mail sent to my domain?
We will install the e-mail system on our server and help you set up your e-mail program so that you can receive and send e-mail using your own address.
- How do you get a domain name?
We check to see if the name you want is still available and get it for you. If your choice is not available we will suggest alternatives. By the way, you can have several names and "point" them all to one web site.
- Who owns the domain name?
You are the legal owner of your domain name - as long as you pay the name registration fee (currently $15.00/year).
- What are your payment terms?
We require 50% payment at the initiation of the project; the balance on completion.
- Does owning a site give me access to the internet?
No. Owning a site is not a connection to the internet. You still need an access provider (such as Comcast, Verizon, etc.) to connect your computer to the internet
